Growing up in a large Christian farming family, I learned early the value of conservation of energy, stewardship of resources, and durability. As I grew I took an interest in high-performance engines. The lessons I learned about designing as a system and for durability shaped who I am. I learned that high performance was not installing a couple of parts, rather the entire vehicle needed to be specified with a well-defined goal. This is also true of the high performance home. As I matured, my Christian faith grew as well; and influenced the way I do business. I am determined that being a blessing to my neighbor (the client) is absolutely necessary. I have been involved in construction since 1994, primarily with concrete walls. I had no idea how my childhood, hobby, and faith would change my career! Once I heard of Insulated Concrete Forms, I immediately knew that it was for me. Here was high-performance, conservation, stewardship, durability, and concrete all wrapped into one!
